The Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 showcase finally confirmed the release of the Diablo 2 remake: Diablo II Resurrected. While Blizzard did confirm at BlizzCon that the game will be a 2021 game, it was only during this year’s E3 that the release date has been finalized. Diablo II will resurrect again on September 23, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Battle.net.
Diablo II Resurrected will be supporting cross-progression (but not cross-play), and will support up to 4K 60FPS. The game can be reverted to its original graphics via the Legacy Toggle if you’re feeling a bit nostalgic. Online coop up to 8 players is also included. The game bundles both the base Diablo II and the Lord of Destruction expansion. Pre-orders are open and will grant players early beta access.
