The Xbox/Bethesda showcase at E3 2021 announced that Microsoft has entered into a partnership with 505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios to release the two Eiyuden Chronicles to Xbox Gamepass. The latest trailer for both games has also revealed a target release year for both games. Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising is set for 2022, while Hundred Heroes in 2023.
Rising will be a town-building action RPG set in the same Eiyuden universe, and will serve as a companion game and backstory to key characters appearing in Hundred Heroes. The official website also hinted at additional rewards for Hundred Heroes based on progress made in Rising.
Both Eiyuden games are slated for Xbox consoles and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The official website also includes Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 in their release slate. Unfortunately, it looks like the game won’t be landing in Nintendo consoles, but this was forewarned back in their Kickstarter page.
Eiyuden Chronicles was one of the most successfully kickstarted games of 2020, and is developed by a team of JRPG vets, particularly Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano who have both worked on the critically-acclaimed Suikoden series.
