During Netflix’s Geeked Week, Resident Evil fans are treated to a couple of big news, the most important of which is the unveiling of the cast for the live-action Resident Evil series.
Been dying to announce this. Get ready to enter New Raccoon City with the cast of RESIDENT EVIL: LANCE REDDICK / ELLA BALINSKA / TAMARA SMART / SIENA AGUDONG / ADELINE RUDOLPH / PAOLA NUNEZ. #GeekedWeek pic.twitter.com/ULKEFuYdAr

Known for his role as Charon in John Wick and Zavala in Destiny 2, Lance Reddick is now adding another iconic role to his ever-expanding repertoire as the series’ Albert Wesker. Together with him are Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.
The Resident Evil Netflix series is not attached to any of the stories from the video games. Rather, it follows Jade and Billie Wesker, Albert’s daughters, and will be presented in two timelines. One part of the story showcases the two daughters living in New Raccoon City, while the other timeline will be set 16 years later in a post-epidemic setting where only 15 million people are left after the effects of the T-Virus ravaged the world.
Andrew Dabb (writer and Season 12 co-showrunner of Supernatural) will be the series showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The show will run for eight episodes in an hourly format.
No release date has been set.
