Ghost of Tsushima: Legends online multiplayer to launch later this year

Sucker Punch has announced an online multiplayer coop mode for Ghost of Tsushima called Legends. The new mode will be a free download for all those who have the game later this year.

While Ghost of Tsushima has been rooted in realism with regard to its folklore (like “kappas” being hungry bandits), the Legends coop mode will be immersed in Japanese mythology. This new mode will support matchmaking for teams of 2-4 players. Missions may vary from story-based ones with varying degrees of difficulty, to survival mode challenging waves of supernatural enemies.

Players can pick from four different classes: Samurai, Ronin, Hunter, and Assassin. While details are scarce as of this posting, Sucker Punch will release additional details regarding class abilities in a later update.

Ghost of Tsushima was released on July 7, 2020 exclusively for the Playstation 4. It has been regarded as one of the fastest selling games of the console, and has received universal acclaim for its visuals and narrative. Famitsu has even granted the game the rare and coveted 40/40 score.
