Fresh off its recent name changeSingapore Comic-Con is striking the ground running with its first batch of exciting guests. Already living up to its comic-con moniker, SGCC is flying over three amazing artists to Singapore!

First on the list is New York Times bestselling artist, Mark Simpson, known by his pen name Jock. He’s best known for his art in collaboration with writer Andy Diggle on the Eisner Award nominated Vertigo-published The Losers, and the DC-published mini series Green Arrow: Year One. He has also worked with Scott Snyder in the creator-owned comic Wytches. Jock has also created key art and concept design for films such as Dredd, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ex Machina, and Annihilation.

Also joining the guest list is pop surrealist, Tara McPherson, known for her art pieces that explore realms of otherwordly characters born from the complexities of the human psyche. Her work has been featured as poster art for ELLE Magazine, cover art for The Wytching from Vertigo Comics, and character designs for Sony Pictures Animation. She has won Toy of the Year, and Best Licensed Figure from the Designer Toy Awards. Plus, she has four monographs published under Dark Horse Publishing.

Rounding up the first batch of guests is comicbook artist veteran, Greg Capullo. He’s best known for his art in the early 90’s Marvel comics Quasar, and X-Force, Image Comics’ Angela, and Spawn, and in DC Comics’ Batman. His latest works include the world-shaking event, Dark Nights: Metal, and DC’s Black Label comic The Last Knight on Earth, both working with Scott Snyder.
