Singapore, 11 July 2018 – Singapore’s largest pop culture convention – the Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) returns bigger and better than ever before, with dazzling displays of cosplay pageantry, exhilarating eSports contests and appearances from iconic artists.
Beyond superheroes, this year’s STGCC will feature multiple booths and breakout zones catering to a variety of gaming enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more information in future releases. The two-day extravaganza between 8 – 9 September celebrates Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 10th anniversary by paying tribute to the plethora of action-packed superhero-themed movies that set our screens ablaze this year.
As part of this, fans can expect to meet several Marvel creators and artists including Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding (US), a bonafide superhero alumnus with titles such as Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther to his credit.
Known as the man who officiated Batman’s wedding, comic artist David Finch (Canada) who has contributed to notable Marvel and DC Comics titles such as New Avengers, Moon Knight, Ultimatum, Wonder Woman and Batman will also be present at the event.
Eisner-nominated comic illustrator and designer Mark Brooks (UK) who recently unveiled his uber-cool rendition of the Batmobile for the Detective Comics series, is another superhero luminary attending this year’s STGCC.
Cosplay and anime fans will be delighted to meet character designer Range Murata (JP), known for anime series such as Blue Submarine No.6, LASTEXILE, Shangri-La and musical artist and chart-topping composer YUC’e (JP), who has contributed to rhythm games such as beatmania IIDX and SEGA’s CHUNITHM.
