In a recent announcement, Netflix made the big leap to create a comprehensive business alliance with two legendary anime studios: Production I.G. and BONES. The said alliance will allow Netflix to co-produce more anime for streaming consumption across nearly 200 countries.
This move by the streaming giant aims to increase and strengthen its line-up with “high quality animation from Japan,” citing that the collaboration is a “win-win-win” scenario for them, the studio, and the subscribers. It is worth noting that Netflix has constantly been increasing its anime content, recently adding heavy-hitters like Violet Evergarden and Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters.
The collaboration not only includes Production I.G., but also its sister company, Wit Studio.
