ComicCon Asia announces Iconic Line-up of Guests


For the first time ever, legendary comic book creator and movie cameo thespian Stan “The Man” Lee is coming to the Philippines. The 95-year-old icon is set to headline as ComicCon Asia’s main event guest along with other icons of the industry, as announced in a press conference held Wednesday night at the Heritage Hotel.

Joining the Marvel Comics icon are: NBA superstar Ray Allen, who will unveil exclusive memorabilia at the event; and Walter Jones, the original Black Ranger from the 90’s hit TV series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Adding to the list of A-list stars are a handful of cosplay icons, who not only will be there to interact with the fans, but also provide cosplay panels and tutorials for everyone. Included in the line-up are: Jay Tablante, industry-leading photographer; cosplay armorer Chad Hoku/Hoku Props; award-winning international cosplayer Linda Le/Vampy bit me; Austrian cosplayer Nana Kuronuma; and Enji Night/Anna Redei.

Rounding up the massive guest list are local comic book industry icons, such as: Harvey Tolibao, Carlo Pagulayan, Walt Disney Visual Development Artist Armand SerranoIan Sta. Maria, and Spongecola front man Yael Yuzon. 

Meet and greet avenues will be organized by ComicCon Asia for the fans during the massive 2-day event. Pricing and mechanics for the fan meets have yet to be announced, however.

ComicCon Asia will happen on March 24-25, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines. Tickets are priced at PHP800.00 (roughly USD16.00) for one-day pass, and PHP1,300.00 (roughly USD25.00) for the two-day pass.
