Marvel Studios might be adding one more female-led movie in the near future, now that the Black Widow movie has suddenly gained its momentum.

In a report by Variety, Marvel is reportedly still interested in making the said super-spy-turned-Avenger’s film, and has named Jac Schaeffer to pen the script. It is said that Marvel Studios head honcho, Kevin Feige, scouted for writers until he eventually tapped Schaeffer for the job. The top guns at Marvel also reportedly met with Scarlett Johansson to talk about what to expect from a Black Widow film writer.

Marvel still has not given the said movie the official greenlight, but having to name a writer means Black Widow is headed for a solo outing.

Jac Schaeffer penned and directed the 2009 sci-fi/romcom flick “TiMER.” She also did the screenplay for Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, which was initially screened as a pre-show to Pixar’s Coco, until fan protest took it down. Her latest writing project, Nasty Women, a remake of the 1988 film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, is in post-production and is slated for release on August 2018.
