ReedPOP’s largest Southeast Asian pop culture event made an important announcement, although the timing was a bit off, having been announced on April Fools.

The Singapore Toy, Games, and Comic Convention (STGCC) we all know and love has officially changed its name to Singapore Comic Con (SGCC). The dates for this year’s SGCC have also shifted from its usual September date to the end of the year, December 7-8, 2019, still at Marina Bay Sands Expo, Singapore.

The name change has already been hinted at during STGCC 2018, with a post-it photo mural of the SGCC logo located near the guests’ booths.

Changing to SGCC also streamlines ReedPOP’s long list of amazing events, like OZ Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, and New York Comic Con to name a few.
