Viz Media acquired the master license for the upcoming second anime season of ONE and Yuusuke Murata’s One Punch Man manga. The company made the announcement on May 16, 2018. The said license covers digital streaming, TV broadcast, electronic sell-through, home media, and merchandising rights for North America, Latin America and Oceania. 

Chikari Sakurai will replace Shingo Natsume as the director of the second season. Yoshikazu Iwanami will replace Shoji Hata as sound director. Chikashi Kubota will return as character designer. Tomohiro Suzuki will once again, take charge of the series composition. Makoto Miyazaki will also return as music composer. The main cast will reprise their roles for the second season, along with Hikaru Midorikawa to play the character Garou.

One Punch Man’s first anime season aired in Japan from October – December 2015. Madhouse animated the first season. Viz Media and Daisuki streamed the series outside of Japan. It also aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami on July 2016 with an English dub.
