Kamen Rider Build is already approaching its final arc with the appearance of its penultimate Rider villain, Kamen Rider Evol. With the series nearing its end, it’s also the season for Toei to file a trademark for the successor of the Kamen Rider mantle.
The next Kamen Rider will be Kamen Rider ZI-O! The trademark was filed by Toei at the Japanese Intellectual Property Database on April 12, 2018. The application was approved and publicly released today, May 8, 2018, under the trademark number 2018-46563.
Initial speculations predict that ZI-O is pronounced “geo” (ji-oh), taking into consideration the usual Japanese conventions in pronouncing syllables. No other details have been released, but expect rumors to swell in the next few months.
