Akkun to Kanojo (My Sweet Tyrant) creator Waka Kakitsubata launched a new manga titled Oitsukenaishi Modorenai (Can’t Catch Up, Can’t Go Back) on May 3, 2018. The story is focused on Hiori Naoe, the handsome 38-year-old cafe manager. Accompanied by Mako Azusawa, the level-headed high school girl who is also a part-timer in the cafe.
Oitsukenaishi Modorenai is part of Kadokawa’s new Gene LINE label, which launched on April 27, 2018. The service is updated daily with Japanese and foreign comics. The Gene LINE label will launch new comic series every day until May 10, 2018.
Waka Kakitsubata released Akkun to Kanojo in Kadokawa’s josei magazine Monthly Comic Gene in June 2013. It inspired a series of anime shorts that aired on April 6, 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with the title My Sweet Tyrant.
