Blizzard is one of the rare few game studios with only a handful of properties under their umbrella. And rarer even, all of these properties are highly successful in their own right. With Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Overwatch in their portfolio, it looks like Blizzard is looking to add another game to their slate.

Recent job postings on the Blizzard website point to an unannounced project. The job ad is looking for a Tools Engineer, familiar with a variety of programming languages. Notable points in the entry include the responsibility to design and and implement content tools for a mobile title; and also a passion for RPG games (sic) of all types as a plus.

We’re starting our speculation engines and say that Blizzard might be starting to cash in on mobile-based RPGs with a penchant for a cash shop system, similar to those endless-running mobile RPGs such as the highly-successful Granblue Fantasy or the more recent Dissidia: Opera Omnia.

Then again, it might be a mobile version of World of Warcraft in its vanilla version, since the smartphones today are already powerful enough to handle such games.

More on this story as it develops.
