Warner Bros. is a fickle company, and it has made DC Films, and by extension the DC Extended Universe, a melting pot of hotly-anticipated yet mostly poorly-received films (save for Wonder Woman). After a string of failures, such as Batman v Superman and Justice League, many fans begin to wonder how the rest of the DC properties will fare. The popular lingering question lies with The Batman‘s production status and Ben Affleck’s continued portrayal of the Dark Knight. But, we can at least rest assured (somewhat) that one of the DCEU’s lineup hasn’t kicked the bucket.

In an interview by IGN during the 2018 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour, David S. Goyer assured everyone that the Green Lantern Corps movie is “still in development” amid the recent executive shake-up in DC Films. It’s a mixed bag, however. When asked about future updates regarding the Green Lantern movie, Goyer stated:

I don’t know. Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now.

David S. Goyer is reportedly tied to the Green Lantern movie as co-writer and producer. No cast has been announced, nor a date for production has been revealed either.

If DC Films has taught us one thing, it’s to lower our expectations.
